      • Medicare regulations have defined standards that a supplier must meet to receive and maintain a supplier number. The supplier must certify in its application for billing privileges that it meets and will continue to meet the standards. The supplier standards can be found in 424 CFR Section 424.57(c).

Pricing, Data Analysis & Coding (PDAC)

What is the PDAC?
Noridian also serves as the Pricing, Data Analysis and Coding (PDAC) Contractor. They perform the following activities:

  • Provide data analysis support to the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Program Safeguard Contractors (PSCs)
  • Guide manufacturers and suppliers on the proper use of the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) through product reviews and decisions
  • Conduct national pricing functions for Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) services
  • Assist Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) with DMEPOS fee schedules

How can the website be utilized?
The DME Coding System Provides HCPCS coding assistance and national pricing information via searches for HCPCS Level II codes and modifiers, DMEPOS (durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies), and CMS national fee schedules.  HCPCS codes and Fees can be searched at the following link: https://www.dmepdac.com/dmecsapp/do/search This link takes you to an external website.
